“Cause I’m just a teenage dirtbag, baby!” – this earwum may well have been a part of the year 2000. 17 years after their biggest hit, Wheatus will be coming to Cologne for an exclusive show on June 8.
Granted, Teenage Dirtbag was not only the biggest, but for many, the only New Yorker hit. While the successor “A little respect” could still achieve some success, it was then quiet around the band. There were disagreements with the record company and over the years some changes in the cast. But the band around Brendan B. Brown has always stuck to a principle that is not to bend and do their own thing. The albums are released on their own label and it is difficult to assign them to a single genre. At the moment, the seventh plant is in the works. Enough stuff, then, to go on an extended tour, which will lead the six Americans on June 8 in the Blue Shell. We are curious if they can revive the enthusiasm of old times!
Tickets for the concert you get here.
