It’s certainly not easy to attract audiences in the German festival jungle. In particular, against the high-profile festivals, the smaller often have little chance. The Green Juice Festival in Bonn has been standing up to this trend for 10 years now. With a small but very tasteful line-up it can convince one year after another. Also this time there will be many other bands besides the two headliners Royal Republic and Madsen , which can be arranged between newcomer and secret tip or starter. In terms of music, indie, rock and punk fans will find what they are looking for.
For the 10th anniversary, this festival will be held for the first time on two days, from 18-19. August in the park Neu-Vilich in Bonn. With Madsen the organizers secured a greatness of the German punk and rock scene, of which everyone knows at least “you write history”. Live, they can convince as well as the Swedes of Royal Republic with their energetic rock. Even the co-headliners Adam Angst and Itchy are no strangers in the German music scene, both convince with punk. While Adam Angst uses German lyrics to highlight the grievances of society in fun music, Itchy (most probably still known as Itchy Poopzkid) have been on the big German festival stages for years. Both bands have announced new albums for this year, so we can expect new songs. In the rest of the line-up strikingly many representatives of German-speaking music are hiding, whether punks like Captain Planet, the Alex Mofa Gang, Lygo or Betamensch or the Indie Representative Emma6. For fans of the English language too, there are blackout issues, Smile and Burn and The Prosecution strong bands. If you do not feel like playing guitar all day long, the Green Juice Festival offers electronic sounds on a second stage. Since the venue is located within the city, there is also the possibility to stay overnight in a city hotel on discounted terms. With such a strong line-up and the incredibly low price starting from 25 euro one must strike there!
